Our Lenten Lunch Series returns with a lineup of speakers addressing the theme: Building Beloved Community. There will be a short service in the Nave, followed by lunch in Randall Hall.

FEB 25—Dr. Joseph Scrivner

Rev. Joseph Scrivner, Ph.D., is a distinguished scholar, pastor and advocate for theological education.

He earned a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Princeton Theological Seminary, placing him among the foremost scholars in his field. His expertise spans multiple ancient and modern languages, including Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, Ugaritic, Akkadian, Egyptian Hieroglyphics, German and French

He leads Brown Memorial Presbyterian Church and is considered a respected voice in religious and academic circles.

Scrivner’s commitment to service is evident through his role as a Trustee for both the Presbyterian Home for Children in Talladega and Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta. And he is an inducted member of the Morehouse College of Ministers.
