Lent: Building Beloved Community

Our Lenten Lunch Series returns with a lineup of speakers addressing the theme: Building Beloved Community. There will be a short service in the Nave, followed by lunch in Randall Hall.

APR 1—Trinese McDowell

Trinese McDowell founded and serves on the executive committee for Outside the Walls, a ministry of 12 churches in downtown Tuscaloosa that partners with local and state resources for those reentering society from the criminal justice system.

She graduated summa cum laude with an associate of science degree in computer networking from Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham.

She is a member of the First African Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, where she serves as the social media coordinator. She is also PROWD Case Manager for West Alabama Works with The Chamber’s workforce development division. In this role, she assists individuals involved in the reentry process with job readiness training, employment opportunities, and supporting a successful transition back into the workforce and community.
